August 2019

Dear Friends,

This summer thousands of kids have descended on Y camps across our city. The buzz of excitement can be felt by everyone who walks through the doors of the Y. Friendships, new skills, and life-long memories are what await our campers as they eagerly step into camp on Monday mornings. By Friday, they are exhausted, full of new stories, and making plans for their next week at camp. But what they might not realize is that week of camp could have a profound and lasting effect on their life!

I hope you enjoy this issue of Inspired Giving; Diana Geller shares with us just how those summers at camp have shaped her life today.

We are also excited to share with you the Y's newest event: Stride for the Y. We hope you can join us for this 2km family-friendly walk that ends with the opportunity to run around and play on the Ottawa Redblacks field!

Thank you for your continued support - we are only able to share these stories with you because you make them possible!

I hope you squeeze every last bit of enjoyment out of the summer as we gear-up for an exciting fall here at the Y!

With gratitude,

Manager, Annual Giving and Donor Stewardship
